MADISON, WI – The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) today announced a grand total of $208,300 has been raised through the Auction of U.S. Championship Cheeses, held Wednesday, April 12 at the Wisconsin Cheese Industry Conference. Bidders’ generosity set a record for funds raised for student scholarships, WCMA member educational programming, WCMA research projects, WCMA investments in industry infrastructure, and our Championship Cheese Contests.
“The Auction is a win-win, as successful bidders end up with some of the best dairy products in the country and the knowledge that they’re supporting the growth and development of the cheesemaking industry,” said John Umhoefer, WCMA Executive Director.
DR Tech of Grantsburg, Wisconsin came away from the Auction with the U.S. Championship Cheese, Sartori Reserve Black Pepper BellaVitano, thanks to its generous support of the cheesemaking industry.
WCMA also thanks these winning bidders for their contributions: Koss Industrial, DSM, Masters Gallery Foods, Winona Foods, Great Lakes Cheese, Custom Fabricating and Repair, Cherney, Membrane Process and Controls, Sulbana, Nelson-Jameson, Kelley Supply, Kerry, TC Jacoby, Cargill, R.
