Cheese Technology Tours

Join WCMA in Austria and Germany in 2019!

For the more than a decade, WCMA has expanded the horizons of members through biennial, international Cheese Technology Tours.

As our Association opens doors to cheese manufacturing and associated supplier plants in locales around the world, WCMA members learn from their counterparts in other countries, often with hands-on, at-the-vat opportunities.

2019 Cheese Technology Tour: Austria & Germany

Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association members are invited to join a cheese technology tour in Austria and Germany set for September 27 through October 6, 2019, including visits to cheese manufacturing sites, packaging facilities, equipment manufacturing and a day at Anuga, the world’s largest food trade fair.  The trip balances learning opportunities and exciting tourism, including a day in Salzburg, a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle, and the hospitality of Munich’s famous Oktoberfest.  Complete details are available in this brochure.

Space is limited to 30 persons for this trip, planned in cooperation with ALPMA. Due to this limitation, member cheese and dairy manufacturers will have first priority to reserve seats, followed by member cheese processors and marketers, and then supplier members.

Coach bus to Chicago, round-trip airfare, 8 hotel nights, breakfasts and two dinners are included in the price of the tour, as well as all planned tourism and travel.  The price is $4,375 per person ($176 discount is paying with cash) based on double occupancy; a single traveler also pays $1,250 as a single supplement.

A $1,000 deposit per person is required by January 31, 2019; full payment by March 22, 2019.
