Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager - Supply Chain

Description: The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Supply Chain will partner with the Senior Director Procurement US to develop a strategic sourcing program for expenditures related to distribution, warehousing, transportation and logistics.  Strategic collaboration with US supply chain leaders, related stakeholders and the strategic sourcing team in Canada will be essential to the success of this role.

  • Analyze current state spend, process, roles and responsibilities to build out a comprehensive strategic sourcing program for the logistics area.  This includes opportunity identification and prioritization, category management, RFx events, supplier management and negotiations, all in deep collaboration with stakeholders and Procurement teammates.

  • Support transformational strategies in the logistics area.

  • Support the development of the overall indirect procurement program across areas such as policy, standard process, strategic sourcing best practices, and related reporting.

  • Build strong and strategically focused relationships with business stakeholders, other Procurement team members and external partners to facilitate the delivery of top tier results without unnecessary disruptions to the business.  Ensure alignment of priorities and expected results with all stakeholders.

  • Deliver cost savings with an annual target of $1M via conducting sourcing events, negotiations, and re-engineering specifications.

  • Lead supplier relationship management of key logistics related suppliers while driving continuous improvement of top spend categories.

  • Drive continuous improvement across policy, process and systems utilization in the logistics area.  Actively simplify workflows and eliminate unnecessary work for our stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Reduce company risk via negotiating contracts and implementing policies and protocol. 

Experience, Skills, and Abilities: 

The Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. 

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in procurement required. 

The Extras (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Experience in supply chain procurement preferred

  • Manufacturing and supply chain experience preferred.
