Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Description: We are actively seeking an individual to take charge and drive improvements in our food safety and quality policies, programs, and procedures, aiming to meet and exceed the expectations of both our internal and external customers with a focus on Safe Quality Food Program (SQF) standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of cheese products at various stages of production to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Collect samples of cheese products for laboratory testing and analysis, following established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, testing data, and any deviations from quality standards.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation practices in the production area to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
  • Develop and execute training programs that support Food Safety and Food Quality objectives.
  • Collaborate with the production manager to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and suggest process improvements.
  • Manage and continuously improve compliance of the audit programs for internal and third-party audits.

Qualifications:

  • SQF certification (Required)
  • Manufacturing experience (Required)
  • Quality assurance/Quality control: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office experience (Required)
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.

Hours/Employment Type: Full Time 

Salary/Wages: $18-$23 per hour
