Volunteer at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest! 

Volunteering on the "B-Team" is a great opportunity to work with cheese industry colleagues while contributing to the success of the contest! 

Please note that volunteering at the Contest is physically demanding- it is advised that volunteers can repeatedly lift 40 pounds and be on their feet for their entire shift. 

Volunteer shifts are open to individuals working in the cheese industry.

Contest Volunteer Opportunities


Entry Receiving & Check-In 

Holland Cold Storage | Kaukauna, Wisconsin
Check-in volunteers assist at the warehouse, receiving and sorting entries. Volunteers will check in entries by verifying product details and labeling with their proper entry number. These shifts include time in the refrigerated warehouse and in dry storage. All volunteers will receive an official B-Team Volunteer hat, 2026 Contest pin, and lunch.

Dry Dairy Ingredient Sample Preparation 

Center for Dairy Research | Madison, Wisconsin
Dry dairy ingredient prep volunteers will assist in preparing samples for judging. Volunteers will assist in sorting, labeling, blending, and packing of prepared samples in the laboratory at the Center for Dairy Research. Volunteers receive an official B-Team Volunteer hat, 2026 Contest pin, and lunch.

Contest Volunteer Shifts 

Monona Terrace Convention Center | Madison, Wisconsin
Volunteers will fulfill several duties as needed and as requested by the Contest Committee. Volunteers will primarily assist judges during evaluation by carefully unboxing, handling, and re-packaging product samples. Judging tables are assigned on-site at the Contest. Volunteers will receive lunch on-site, an official B-Team Volunteer hat, and a 2026 Contest pin.

CheeseExpo Cooler Display Set-up & Clean-Up

Baird Center | Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Volunteers will assist with the set-up and clean-up of the Championship Cheese display coolers on the CheeseExpo show floor.
