WCMA Health & Safety Group Meeting (Hybrid) - March 2026

Tuesday, March 17, 2026
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (CDT)

Event Details

You’re invited to join us for WCMA's Health & Safety Group meeting on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (CT). WCMA is offering two ways to participate: in-person at WCMA's training center, located in Madison, Wisconsin, or online. WCMA's Health & Safety Group is open to all WCMA member employees, and our meetings offer both industry-specific safety information from experts and connection with your peers.

This meeting's agenda features our annual, official meeting of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, Occupational Safety & Health Administration, and WisCon, and an open discussion of trends and foci for future action.  Join area directors and safety consultants for this important conversation.

We'll also be offering a deep dive into confined space safety, detailing the frequency of incident in food manufacturing and - more importantly - ways you can reduce one of the industry's most serious hazards.  Nicole O'Connor from OSHA will bring us her insights on this topic.

Finally, hear from leaders in risk mitigation, including Nancy Bendickson of Aon, and dairy plant management as they share effective ways to communicate safety standards to workers with limited English language skills - because safety is everyone's right and responsibility.

Here's a look at our detailed agenda:

  • 10:45 a.m.: Sign-In & Networking (In-Person Only)
  • 11:00 a.m.: Welcome & Introductions
