Join WCMA for a free, members-only webinar focused on the quality of water sustainably reused in dairy processing systems. Industry experts will focus on water reuse and recycling from processing and wastewater systems, with the combined wins of lowering demand on incoming water sources and reducing the volume of wastewater for further processing.
- Aaron Shaver, Senior Technical Advisor, Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. will discuss water reuse in dairy processing with an emphasis on storage, distribution and energy efficiency opportunities from heating and cooling milk, whey and water for cleaning.
- Scott Fisher, Director – Food & Beverage West Division for The Kurita Group, will discuss generation of condensate of whey (COW) water and polished water, and approved use of this water in cheese and whey processing plants.
- Rachel Kloos, Water & Wastewater Group Leader, ISG, Inc. will focus on water recovery impact on wastewater systems as well as utilization of treated wastewater to reduce overall fresh-water demand.
In addition, Dean Sommer, Cheese Technologist at the Center for Dairy Research, will join webinar moderator John Umhoefer, WCMA Executive Director, in promoting the all-new Dairy Wastewater Fundamentals short course set for August 26, 2025.
