Benefits/Human Resources Coordinator

You'll be responsible for day-to-day administration of all benefit and wellness programs/systems. This includes all program management, to include eligibility determination based on company policies and in full compliance with state and federal regulations. Position will perform payroll support functions for hourly plant employees, as well as other human resources-related functions.

  • Assist the Compensation & Benefits Manager with benefit program administration to include but not limited to planning, marketing and managing all existing benefit programs.
  • Coordinate and administer wellness program including budgeting, planning, and organizing program efforts.
  • Coordinate and maintain benefit enrollments utilizing online enrollment system.
  • Assist with claim inquiries to determine eligibility following all legal, plan and company policies.
  • Administer new employee benefit orientations.
  • Assist employees through the Family Medical Leave (FML) and disability claim filing process.
  • Provide ongoing communication and confidential reports to HR management and supervisory management regarding return-to-work statuses for employees on leave.
  • Coordinate Educational Assistance / Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
  • Assist the Payroll Coordinator with payroll related functions, including but not limited to: processing employee status changes, processing new hires, and timesheet adjustments.
  • Coordinate and maintain the employee evaluation system for all production employees.
  • Research additional benefit programs designed to maintain market competitiveness and increase employee retention.
  • Perform other duties and projects as requested by the Compensation & Benefits Manager, Director of Human Resources-Operations, and Sr. Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Communications.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of comparable benefit administration and payroll processing experience in a Human Resources office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations including FMLA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills to frequently assist employees, management and the general public.
  • Must have good mathematical and analytical skills, problem solving ability, and accuracy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate policies, procedures and sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of the ERP system, UKG Pro, UKG Ready, personal computer, Microsoft Outlook & Office products.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to alternate work sites as needed.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments is required.
