Essential Functions:

  • The Site Construction Manager is responsible for the Site Build, Rough-set and Installation of the Caloris designed and procured equipment.
  • Work with other contracted companies including builders, utility suppliers, other process equipment vendors to manage scheduled activities.
  • On-site management and coordination of multiple contractors and vendors, including international vendors
  • Day-to-day scheduling of installation activities for Caloris scope of supply
  • Work closely with project management to assure installation efforts are aligned with budgeted cost, customer expectations, and Caloris risk mitigation strategy
  • Active participation in the site-wide planning and coordination of installation efforts
  • Management of a cross-functional team of installation subcontractors and 3rd party vendors
  • Assure installation efforts meet contract requirements for equipment quality validation
  • Coordination of, and participation in, the training of the customer’s supervisory, operating and maintenance staff

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Familiarity with a range of dairy processing unit operations, including membrane filtration, evaporation, spray drying, crystallization, and powder packaging
  • Understanding of OSHA and all safety aspects of installation tasks.
  • Familiarity with the specialized construction requirements for food processing equipment and food processing factories, according to 3A, the USDA and FDA
  • Ability to Lead a team of Installation Subcontractors and manage people
  • Understanding of project schedules
  • Ability to procure materials
  • Familiarity with the technology involved in the industrial production of cheese and whey products, including cheese/whey separation, milk and whey protein separation, lactose crystallization, and high-pressure atomization

Desired Skills & Abilities:

  • PMP Certification
  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related degree
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation and PLC-based industrial control systems


  • Must be able to reside on-site in West Texas for approximately 6-8 months/the duration of the installation (2022).
  • Must be physically able to work long days when on-site. Some weekend work required.
  • Must be physically able to work in hot/noisy environments when on-site.
  • Must be physically able to climb multiple flights of stairs and ladders.
  • Periodic trips to the Easton, MD office may be required.

Hours/Employment Type: Full Time

Salary/Wages: Commensurate with experience
