Job Title: Director of Compensation and Benefits

Description: The Director Compensation and Benefits serves as a strategic leader, responsible for the strategy, design, and support of creative, market-competitive, efficient and effective US base pay, incentive compensation, and executive compensation programs; reward and recognition programs; and retirement, health and welfare programs.  This position will work with business leaders and the Global Compensation team to develop, recommend, and ensure successful implementation of our total rewards strategies for US employees.

  • Onboard US team and leadership to global policies of the organization regarding global compensation.

  • Understand current and emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps. Develop and implement a strategy to keep close pulse on market evolution regarding compensation and benefits.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate the Human Capital Business Partner, business managers, and executives on pay decisions, policy/guideline interpretations, and position evaluations.

  • Lead all US compensation and benefit processes (base, variable, merit, promotions, etc.).

  • Partner with brokers and third party administrators/solution providers to ensure professional, high-level service, and negotiate agreements/contracts as needed.

  • Provide strategy for design of compensation and benefit initiatives and programs that are aligned to the organization’s principles, and provide flexibility.

  • Provide strategic and creative guidance for resolution of compensation and benefit issues, in conjunction with the Global compensation team.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and Human Capital functional leaders on recommendations for internal and external offers, to attract and retain highly sought-after talent, implementing compensation and benefit systems, tools, and processes.

  • Work with Global Compensation team and internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, effective benefits and compensation communications strategy.

  • Provide guidance to develop cost control procedures to ensure optimal coverage at an appropriate cost to organization and employee.

  • Provide strategy for revised compensation programs/procedures in order to be responsive to the organization's goals.

  • In collaboration with the Global Compensation team, coordinate and manage the annual (STIP/Profit Sharing) incentive processes.

Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

The Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.  

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience required.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with record of managing by influence required.
