SUMMARY: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring associate technicians, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Goal is to keep production on time 24/7 in a cost-effective manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Able to work holidays as needed
- Will be on call designated weekends
- Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the mechanical team.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex mechanical systems including Ammonia system, boilers, and sanitary welding, communicate any maintenance difficulties that may require additional problem solving
- Help with maintaining PSM records and asset records, training and certifications for technicians
- Interpret and create mechanical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and mechanical documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with mechanical standards, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and technical support.
- Work with parts inventory person on keeping inventory of mechanical components and tools and assist in procurement.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Approve, assign and schedule work orders. Review completion and quality of work. Review work order documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Help with documenting all maintenance activities, system changes and troubleshooting procedures.
- Works with Maint Mgr to schedule, prioritize and plan preventative maintenance work
- Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to lead others and be a positive role model to peers
- Strong problem-solving skills
- 2+ years’ experience with routine maintenance operations
- Self-Motivated
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures
- Self-starter with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Computer literate
- Physical ability to lift 100 lbs
Hours/Employment Type: Full Time
Salary/Wages: 100,000 - 120,000
