Job Title: Plant Training Coordinator - Bilingual

Description: The Training Coordinator will be responsible for activities involved in developing, maintaining, and coordinating new hire and current employee department training practices and materials. The Training Coordinator will work closely with many cross-functional departments to assist in the onboarding of new employees, assist supervisors with hands-on training, identifying training needs, and will assist with general HR recruitment and employee engagement activities. The Training Coordinator will also be responsible for increasing employee versatility, expertise, and enthusiasm with motivational support and encouragement. 

  • Assists management in developing or maintaining training materials as needed for topics such as: New Hire Orientation, Safety Training, Food Safety Training, Leadership Training, etc.
  • Responsible for translating new hire, onboarding, and other training materials into Spanish language materials.
  • Provide quality and consistent training to retain and develop employees.
  • Assist in determining appropriate training content, training environment, and delivery method to execute efficient and effective training.
  • Assist with maintaining and reporting performance indicators related to training and skill progression.
  • Provide training status updates as needed to management and company leaders.
  • Assists with recruitment and language translation as needed.
  • Assists with the onboarding and orientation of new employees, and related personnel record management.
  • Assists employees with language interpretation in understanding company policies and procedures.
  • Assists management as needed with language translation when employee issues or concerns arise.
  • Must acquire basic understanding of production job functions with the ability to train on this knowledge.
  • Will follow up with employees on training needs or questions timely, courteously, and efficiently.
  • Will train employees how to use the company HRIS system as needed.
  • Must maintain full confidentiality with ethical and professional standards.
  • Will assist with various HR projects and tasks as requested.
  • Will complete additional tasks as assigned by Management. 

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in employee training and development, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Minimum of a high school education or GED
  • Ability to communicate direction effectively to others.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • High degree of initiative with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS management systems (Paycom preferred).
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency required or similar software.
  • Proficient in relevant computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Team-player, able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
