Description: We’re looking for a results-driven Scientist III – Technical Services to join our team. Under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Process Optimization – Cheese, you will develop, execute, and deliver projects that enhance Trademark Quality, food safety, and production efficiency. This role blends scientific expertise, technical insight, and basic project management to drive continuous improvement across operations.

Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

What you need to be considered for the role:
-Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Degree in Food Science or other related field required. An emphasis in Dairy Technology preferred.
-Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years’ experience in the dairy industry working with processing equipment and quality related systems; or Master's Degree and 3 or more years' experience in the dairy industry working with processing equipment and quality related systems; or PhD, with experience in the dairy industry working with processing equipment and quality related systems preferred.
-Knowledge of laboratory testing and procedures in relation to dairy products required.
-Formal Project Management Training is required.
-Possess broad knowledge and understanding of technical fundamentals, principles, practices, and procedures, continuing to acquire higher level knowledge and skills.
-Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the field.
-Analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and considerable difficulty and determines solutions.
-May serve as lead; acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
-Understands and is proficient with statistical analysis tools and software.
-Originality and ingenuity are often required.
-Applies six sigma tools and methodologies.
-Good computer skills in MS Office Suite.
-Manages multiple pursuits simultaneously; define and maintain focus on department objectives balanced with project and other department needs.
-Knowledge of and ability to work safely in laboratory and production setting along with ensuring the safety of others in the same environment.
-Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required.
-Pasteurizer Operator Certification required.
-Wisconsin Cheesemaker's License required. 
-Flexibility in work hours, including occasional extended or off-shift hours as required by projects or production needs.
-Ability / willingness to travel to all Grande facilities up to 30% of the time. 

Preferred:
-Master's Degree or PhD in Food Science or other related field preferred.
-Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
