Just days remain to enter the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest! Visit WorldChampionCheese.org by January 26 to join this prestigious competition, offering valuable technical feedback, increased brand exposure, and the chance to win the coveted title of World Champion Cheese.

Entries of cheese, butter, yogurt, and dry dairy ingredients may be submitted across 142 distinct entry classes for just $90 per entry. All entries will be evaluated March 5-7 in Madison, Wisconsin by a highly skilled, carefully selected team of dairy product experts hailing from around the world. Starting from a maximum possible 100 points, judges will make deductions for defects found related to flavor, body and texture, salt, color, finish, and packaging.

Following preliminary rounds of judging, a gold, silver, and bronze medal will be awarded to the three highest-scoring entries in each class. Gold medal cheeses will move to the Championship Round for a chance to become the next World Champion. The winner will be announced on Thursday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. (CT) via livestream at WorldChampionCheese.org.

Hosted biennially by Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) since 1957, this competition is the largest technical dairy products evaluation in the world. In 2022, judges evaluated 2,978 entries, with Gourmino Le Gruyère, made by Michael Spycher of Mountain Dairy Fritzenhaus in Bern, Switzerland, earning an impressive score of 98.423 out of 100 to win the top spot.
