Job Title: Cheesemaker Helper II

Company: Specialty Cheese INC.

Location: Reeseville, WI

Description: 

Clean and set up cheese forms or molds as well as any related equipment.

Stir cheese vats using shovels or specialized equipment.

Perform sanitation of various parts of the Make Room utilizing specialized equipment.

Flip cheese in forms on tables at the appropriate times

Transfer cheese curd from initial vat to finishing vat or forms, either manually or by using specialized equipment.

Assist in the preparation of brine tanks and the brined cheeses.

Assist in the addition of colorants and other ingredients to the cheese vats.

Organizing ready to pack products, including palatizing finished products.

Loading and unloading filled 40 lbs. forms, which may weigh up to 70 lbs., into and from the Cheese Presses onto pallets or tables.

Operate Cheese Presses, Grinders and Cheese Elevators

Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including all common areas of the company.

Report issues with equipment or with product to the management team as soon as possible.

Other tasks as assigned.

Experience, Skills and Abilities: 

Position is entry level, no previous experience required.

Past experience in either a manufacturing environment or in food service of any kind is preferred.
