Job Title: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Description: We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus and an excellent starting wage.

Position Summary: Repairs and maintains equipment and infrastructure at the production facilities and warehouse operations. Performs daily and weekly preventive maintenance programs to insure efficient operation of mechanical equipment. Maintains a positive working relationship with other departments throughout the company.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Production roles are performed in a food manufacturing environment and require strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including use of required PPE. Employees may work in areas with variable temperatures, machinery noise, and exposure to food ingredients and sanitation chemicals. The role requires standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and regularly lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance). Primary Responsibilities:

Maintains Production and Facility equipment
Prompt and effective response and resolution to work orders (checklist & reports)
Maintains and checks tool and material inventory level. Communicates to Foreman and/or Lead if additional supplies are required.
Conducts regularly and visual inspection (reports) of facility and equipment in order to determine repairs and communicates potential equipment failure and/or issues.
Conducts preventive maintenance work required (cleaning, lubricating, greasing, oiling) to ensure optimum working order.

Follows proper operating procedures
Prioritize work orders by considering the importance of the work and the time needed to complete the work.
Recognizes and repairs malfunctions in processing, filling and ancillary equipment
Inform supervisor or management of any issues with materials or product
Completes all documents accurately as required.
Maintains adequate hand tool supply to perform maintenance repairs in an acceptable craftsmanship manner
Responsible for complying to all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements for position.
Responsible for following Safety (OSHA) regulations and procedures.
Follow GMP’s, sanitation procedures ,and quality procedures as set forth by QA and/or supervisors.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Foreman, or other Management.

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

    Skills Required:

    Hands-on can-do mentality
    Troubleshooting
    Basic PLC Skills (Preferred)
    Basic knowledge of electrical meter and trouble shooting.
    Communication
    Knowledge of Good Management Practices
    Positive Safety attitude
    Welding Experience


    Necessary Experience:

    High School or equivalent
    5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
    Machine Operations (Preferred)
    Food Manufacturing (Preferred)
    Proficient Mechanical Experience
    Electrical Experience

    Maintenance: 4 years (Preferred)
    Manufacturing maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)

    Hours/Employment Type: Full Time - 1PM-9PM or 9PM-5AM | Monday-Friday

    Salary/Wages: $28.00 To $34.00 Hourly-Plus Shift Differentials
