We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented Senior Inventory Control Analyst to serve as a key individual contributor in building inventory visibility and control capabilities for a growing company managing a high volume of perishable products. The Senior Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving inventory accuracy and efficiency of inventory records within the organization in both physical and system environments. The Senior Inventory Control Analyst will develop or assist with developing reporting tools and will use strong analytical approach to provide actional insights into maintaining or improving efficiency. The Senior Inventory Control Analyst will analyze inventory data, identify discrepancies, conduct root-cause variance analysis, and partner with logistics, procurement, and finance teams to streamline supply chain processes.

Essential Functions:

Develop, maintain, and continuously improve inventory visibility tools and metrics to provide timely insights into inventory levels, movement, and aging.
Analyze inventory trends and transaction activity to identify discrepancies, root causes, and opportunities to improve accuracy and minimize waste.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, procurement, finance, and sales teams to align inventory data with business needs and improve decision-making.
Investigate inventory variances, transactional errors, and process breakdowns; recommend and help implement corrective actions.
Coordinate and perform ongoing cycle counts and annual physical inventory count to support efficient fulfillment of product and meet financial audit requirements.
Identify best practices related to systems and processes, including standardization of procedures across product lines throughout the inventory life cycle.
Record inventory adjustments for ad hoc movements such as samples.
Reconcile inventory reports, including off-site and in-transit inventory.
Post monthly usage of raw materials not relieved via bill of material consumption.
Use data to recommend process improvements that reduce waste, improve product visibility, and strengthen inventory controls as the company scales.
Act as a subject matter resource for inventory data, reporting logic, and control processes in a rapidly growing environment.
Serve as backup for ERP Specialist to assist in correcting transaction errors.

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
5 years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or related field is preferred.
Experience in food or other perishable-product environments is strongly preferred.
Experience with cycle counting, root cause analysis, and ERP systems required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Good level of knowledge of inventory management, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning and manufacturing control systems.
Effectively multitask while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time sensitive deadlines.
Effectively evaluate, prioritize and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in English, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Sit 60%, Walk 20%, Stand 20%, bend at waist frequently, repetitive use of hands for fine manipulation; climb stairs occasionally.
Prolonged periods working on a computer. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds during inventory counts. Exposure to both office and warehouse environments.
Occasional: bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, exposure to changes in temperature, being near moving machinery, and office machinery.
Ability to work extended hours if needed during physical inventories or peak demand periods.

Salary/Wages: $70,000-$85,000
