Material Handler

Job Title: Material Handler 

Company: Specialty Cheese INC.

Location: Reeseville, WI

Description: Position Purpose: To perform a variety of duties which help the product get through the packaging line efficiently.

Essential Job Functions:

Follow all GMP’s, SOP’s and SSOP’s
Pounding out 40’s to be cut or pouched
Cut cheese using the Champ and the two-way cutter
Knowledge of different cheeses
Knowledge of different cuts
Wash plastic tubs,40# forms and fresco forms
Wash pallets(stain steel and black ones)
Changing the 3 buckets by 8610 and table 3 every two hours
Take samples of different cheeses
Supply 8610 line with cheese to make sure 8610 does notrun empty
Fill out the sticker to identify the trim correctly
Follow procedure for Fresco Line
Operate the Koch
Palletizing washed tubs, forms and shrink wrapping them
Fill in on the packaging line as needed
Daily clean up and sanitation while line is running.
Perform basic maintenance tasks
Electric and hand-operated pallet jacks
Understand and communicate packaging board & schedule
Setting up champs and two-way cutter with proper harps and corresponding base
Labeling pallets of cut and tubbed cheese with the correct product date and vat
Setting up cuber with proper harps and corresponding base
Report missing parts or equipment damage
Emptying trash cans and empty the bag suckers can at the end of the shift.
Taking out garbage operate compactor
Plugging pallet jacks into charging station

Experience, Skills and Abilities:  Position is entry level, no previous experience required.
Past experience in either a manufacturing environment or in food service of any kind is preferred.

Hours/Employment Type: Full Time

Salary/Wages: $19/hour
