Connect and Get the Latest on Food Safety with WCMA Dairy Food Safety Alliance on October 29
Dairy manufacturers, processors, and suppliers are invited to join the next hybrid meeting of the Dairy Food Safety Alliance, hosted by Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research on Thursday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. (CT) at WCMA’s offices in Madison, Wisconsin, and online.
The program features a day of education, peer networking, and the latest updates on timely food safety topics. Registration and sponsorship opportunities are available now at WisCheeseMakers.org/Events.
The October gathering will begin with a brief presentation on survey insights from dairy plant inspectors, as well as an overview of a typical Wisconsin inspection report. Following the presentation, CDR’s Alex O’Brien will moderate a panel and Q&A session focused on inspector and auditor insights featuring state dairy sanitarians before a deep dive on the anatomy of a product recall.
Following a catered networking lunch, attendees will hear the latest updates in food safety guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection’s (WDATCP) Tyson Villarreal and the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy’s Tim Stubbs. Finally, Alex O'Brien will share insights on best practices for water use and reclaimed water protection in dairy plants.
"Food safety is critical for dairy processors' success, and it’s an effort that is reliant on collaboration and information exchange," said WCMA Executive Director John Umhoefer. "WCMA is proud to partner with CDR to offer a platform for those in the dairy industry to share knowledge and resources and, overall, to help dairy processors stay informed amid regulatory change."
Registration for the meeting costs only $35. Thanks go to meeting sponsor Exiges Instrument Systems for their generous support. Additional sponsorships, featuring complimentary registration and recognition, are available now at WisCheeseMakers.org/Events.
