Registration Opens May 13 for WCMA Golf Outing & Trap Shoot
Dairy manufacturer, processor, and supplier members of Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) should mark their calendars and set their alarms for Tuesday, May 13 at 10:00 a.m. (CT), when registration opens for the popular WCMA Golf Outing and Trap Shoot! Details on registration and sponsorship are available now at WisCheeseMakers.org for the industry’s favorite event of the summer, set for Wednesday, July 16 in central Wisconsin.
“The WCMA Golf Outing & Trap Shoot offers multiple opportunities to reconnect with customers and peers – it's a day of outdoor fun with friends and the highlight of dairy's summer calendar,” said WCMA Executive Director John Umhoefer. “This event sells out quickly, so be ready to register at 10 a.m. sharp on May 13.”
This year’s event features a brand-new addition to an exciting schedule: WCMA’s inaugural Pickleball Tournament. For the first time, WCMA will welcome both new and seasoned pickleball players for a lively round-robin tournament. A maximum of 24 players will begin their day at Lake Arrowhead’s Pines Course before heading to the Lake Arrowhead Chalet Courts, located just a short three-mile drive from the golf course. Registration for the tournament includes instruction, paddle and ball use, a participant gift, and skill prizes.
Meanwhile, golfers will enjoy a scramble tournament at one of five courses near Nekoosa, Wisconsin: Bullseye Golf Club, Northern Bay Resort, Lake Arrowhead’s Lakes and Pines Courses, and – new in 2025 – The Ridges Golf Course. Each golfer’s registration fee covers their golf cart, greens fees, range balls, cart gifts, skill and winner prizes. WCMA will build foursomes for individual golf registrants, and the total number of golfers is capped at 720.
Up to 110 trapshooters will gather for WCMA’s concurrent event at the nearby Wisconsin Trapshooting Association (WTA) Homegrounds facility. Individual shooting and group challenges will begin at 12:00 p.m. No license is needed, and novice trapshooters will receive personal instruction from WTA volunteers. Participants are encouraged to bring their own shotgun, as limited quantities are available for day use.
All attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch sponsored by BMO Harris Bank at their respective locations. After a day of fun and networking, golfers, trapshooters, and pickleball players will reconvene at the Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse to enjoy the Amcor Social Hour and a buffet dinner.
High-visibility sponsorships are also available now at WisCheeseMakers.org. Don’t wait to take advantage of these affordable, impactful marketing opportunities: WCMA will hold up to 12 golfer spots for companies that secure Premier Level sponsorships before May 9! All sponsorship questions can be directed to WCMA Events Director Caitlin Peirick at cpeirick@wischeesemakers.org.
