WCMA Applauds Confirmation of Evers’ Cabinet Secretaries

Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) members today applauded the Wisconsin State Senate’s approval of three key members of Governor Tony Evers’ Cabinet: Secretary Randy Romanski of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, Secretary Missy Hughes of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and Secretary Craig Thompson of the Department of Transportation.  WCMA had advocated for confirmation of the agency heads.

“With regulatory flexibility, the creation of new aid programs, and clear, open communication, Secretaries Romanski, Hughes and Thompson have proven key partners to dairy processors and dairy farmers through the pandemic,” said John Umhoefer, WCMA Executive Director.  “We value their leadership and look forward to continuing to work with them in strengthening the dairy industry and Wisconsin’s rural communities.”
