The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) has hired Danica Nilsestuen as Grant & Business Programs Director, supporting an expanding portfolio of member services including member business growth, workforce development, support for dairy business innovation, and more.

"As WCMA members rise to the challenge of an ever-changing industry landscape, our team is here with a toolbox of resources to support business growth. We're pleased to welcome Danica, and confident that her skills and expertise will add value for WCMA members nationwide,” said Executive Director John Umhoefer.

Nilsestuen brings to her new role more than a decade of experience in business development and workforce innovation, including her management of a multimillion-dollar portfolio of federal grants for the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin. As part of the WCMA team, she will lead the administration of grant programs through the Association, including monies distributed through the Dairy Business Innovation Alliance, and assist members in finding and pursuing new business development and workforce opportunities.

"I’m grateful for the opportunity to join WCMA and serve an industry that helps feed the world,“ Nilsestuen stated. “I’m excited to bring my knowledge and experience to the table to help members meet their business goals and pursue new growth opportunities.”
